SPCU Div 1 League Report

Crescent Cricket Club Aberdeen vs DHSFPCC Dundee On 29th April 2023, Crescent Cricket Club Aberdeen faced off against DHSFPCC Dundee at Guthrie Park, Brechin home ground of Crescent Cricket Club. Due to bad weather conditions, the match started at 1 pm with 35 overs per innings. DHSFPCC Dundee won the toss and elected to ball first.

In response, DHSFPCC Dundee got off to a great start, scoring 45 runs in the first 10 overs without losing a wicket, thanks to their opening batsmen. However, Crescent bowlers made a comeback as Bilal took two, and Kamal took one wicket and kept the run rate in check.

The match’s turning point was when Rajeevan took two wickets, while Vineet, Anjum and Ayush took one wicket each; also, ever-agile Sohaib and Nathan executed three run-outs with their brilliant fielding on the wet outfield.

As a result, DHSFPCC Dundee was all out for 86 runs and lost the match by 77 runs.

Overall, it was an exciting match where both teams showed their skills, but Crescent Cricket Club Aberdeen emerged victorious with their fantastic batting and bowling effort.
